KEYS offers a variety of services for young people. If you are under 30, unemployed and not returning to school, we can help you find a job.
Employment Resource
Centre
Come in to our Resource Centre and check it out! - access to computers with
internet, printers, photocopiers, fax machines, phones, and resume resources.
Come in to the KEYS Employment Resource Centre for help with resumes and cover
letters.
Employment Services
All the help you need to connect with an employer and get hired! Job Search Coaching and Job Placement programs support you through the job search process and assist with on-the-job training. KEYS Employment Services also assists employers to find and hire the qualified people they need.
Skills Link Programs provide funding for organizations to help youth (15-30) facing barriers to employment develop the broad range of skills, knowledge, and work experience they need to participate and succeed in the job market. KEYS delivers these programs in a number of locations. One of our programs is called SHINE and it consists of pre-employment training, followed by a supported work placement. Participants get paid for attendance and have fun while they learn. We deliver information sessions to recruit for these programs, so keep checking the KEYS website for our next session.
Special Events and Programs
KEYS is committed to helping young people gain the skills and information they need to find work. We organize and host job fairs; conferences and panel discussions to connect young people with the labour market. We also deliver specialized training programs followed by work experience opportunities. Keep checking the KEYS web site for more information on the next exciting program.
Workshops
We offer workshops to give you the skills you need to get the job! We deliver a
variety of exciting workshops to help you explore career options and gain job
search skills. For our specialized certifications such as Smart Serve, Service
Excellence, Fall Arrest or Worker Safety Awareness, please call to register.
