Job Description:

Cardinal Health Canada currently has an urgent need and recruiting for a Quality Assurance Technician to join our team in Gananoque. Reporting directly to the Quality Lead Hand, this position is responsible for the acceptance and rejection of manufactured product including the production of subassembly and finished products based on product specifications and procedures. The Quality Assurance Technician also supports testing for complaints, non-conformance investigations and changes to support production and the facility. 

Key Responsibilities:
Demonstrates knowledge of quality systems and approaches. 
Demonstrates an understanding of the relevant regulations, standards and operating procedures. 
Demonstrates ability to perform investigations / root cause analysis and develop corrective actions. 
Demonstrates an understanding of the requirements and has the ability to perform gap assessments to those requirements. 
Demonstrates an understanding of quality concepts such as: cost of quality, analytical metrics and / or statistics, trending, quality planning, validation, CAPA and problem solving. 
Works cross-functionally and has the ability to interpret the requirements as well as educate and influence others on those requirements.

Qualifications:

High School Diploma required. One year diploma in science-related field preferred or equivalency with 3-5 years’ experience 
Good working knowledge of mechanical inspection techniques and equipment 
Knowledge of statistical sampling methods 
Strong computer Skills; email, word, excel, power-point 
Strong communication skills 
Basic knowledge of medical device regulatory and ISO standards 
Experience in training
