The Township of Rideau Lakes is seeking an individual to fill the position of Planning and Economic Development Coordinator. This position is responsible, in part, for the coordination and implementation of the Township’s Development Services and Economic Development mandates, as set by Council, under the direction of senior management. Specific duties include:
- Responsible for the preparation and delivery of various economic development projects, as directed by senior management and Council;
- Acting as secretary for the Township’s Economic Development Committee;
- Preparation and recording of minutes for the Township’s Committee of Adjustment and Planning Advisory Committee;
- Coordinate the notification and administration of all Planning applications in the Township;
- Assist with processing and administration of Building applications in the Township;
- Other duties as required
The ideal candidate will have some experience in public sector economic development as well as administration. Given the varied mandate it is understood on the job training and post-hiring certifications may be required.
Salary will be commensurate with experience and qualifications. The Township has a comprehensive benefit package.
